Job summary

Class Act is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for day-to-day supply across nurseries and schools in Chipping Norton and the surrounding areas. You will support children aged 0–5, assist with planning and delivering activities, and help create a safe, nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant Early Years qualification, have nursery experience, and demonstrate flexibility to work across different settings.

Qualifications

• Relevant Early Years qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education).
• Experience working with children in nursery or early years settings.
• A warm, caring, and patient approach to supporting young children.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A flexible and proactive attitude to working across different settings.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of children aged 0–5.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals.
• Support children with personal care routines and hygiene.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child’s development.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and inclusive learning space.
