Job summary

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is looking for casual Exam Invigilators to supervise examinations and assist the Examinations Officer during exam periods.

You will help set up venues, supervise candidates, deal with questions and irregularities, record late arrivals and escort candidates between venues.

This role requires a positive attitude to working with young people, accuracy, reliability and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Access to an email account for invigilation schedules
• Positive interest in young people and their education
• Ability to be flexible
• Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
• Firm but fair attitude
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Physical fitness appropriate to tasks (heavy papers, lots of walking)

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting-up examination venues (stationery, equipment, papers)
• Assist candidates before start of examinations
• Ensure candidates do not talk inside venues
• Invigilate during examinations and handle queries/irregularities
• Record details of late arrivals
• Escort candidates and supervise outside venues
• Collect and collate scripts at end of examinations
• Prepare script envelopes and seating plans
