Job summary

Havering Schools invites applications for Exam Invigilators to support examination delivery across multiple venues. You will assist with room setup, seat allocation, script handling and ensuring exam conditions are maintained.

The role demands attentiveness, calmness, and reliability, with in-house and online training provided to enhance JCQ compliance. Successful candidates will join a pool with flexible hours, working patterns to match examination needs, and will report to the Examinations

Qualifications

Experience in exam settings is beneficial.
Good spelling, grammar and handwriting are essential.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Support Examinations Officer with day-to-day delivery of examinations in multiple venues.
Assist with setting up examination rooms, display JCQ posters and seating plans.
Place examination scripts on desks and set up laptops for students using word processors.
Ensure students do not communicate inside exam rooms and supervise throughout the examination.
Assist students at start of exam, direct to allocated seats, and respond to queries.
Record attendance and log incidents as they happen; liaise with Lead Invigilator/Exam Officer.
Supervise candidates to maintain exam conditions and escort if required.
Collect and collate scripts at end of examinations and ensure proper post-exam procedures.
