Job summary

TeacherActive is looking for experienced English Teachers to join my growing South Wiltshire secondary supply team. I am recruiting specifically for the Salisbury and deeper South Wiltshire area, including Amesbury, Durrington, Tidworth, Wilton, Downton, the Stonehenge corridor and surrounding schools.

Opportunities range from day-to-day bookings through to short-term and longer-term placements, allowing you to build a working pattern that suits you.

Qualifications

• QTS with English Language / Literature
• Experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to adapt quickly to different schools, pupils and schemes of work
• Professional, dependable approach to short-notice and pre-booked supply

Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons and maintain classroom presence.
• Prepare students and establish expectations quickly.
• Engage pupils with the set work to ensure learning continues.
• Be flexible to accommodate day-to-day, short-term and longer-term bookings.
