Job summary

Q Energy is seeking a Flex Purchasing Sales Consultant in Manchester to monitor and action trading operations for client energy baskets. You will develop trading strategies, execute trades, and provide insightful market reports to support decision-making.

You will collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to tailor energy procurement strategies, stay updated on market dynamics, and build strong relationships with suppliers. A data-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy trading or energy procurement roles (4+ years).
• Knowledge of UK energy market regulation.
• Proficient in data analysis using Excel, SQL or Python.
• Power BI experience is desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and action the trading operations of gas and power markets for client baskets.
• Develop trading strategies and provide market reports.
• Execute trades considering market conditions and risk policies.
• Maintain trade records and settlements on the Q Energy platform.
• Build relationships with energy supplier trading desks.
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to tailor procurement strategies.
• Provide expert market guidance on dynamics, pricing trends and risk management.
• Conduct daily research on gas and power markets and produce concise reports.
