Job summary

Sussex Teachers is recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for flexible primary supply teaching jobs across Brighton & Hove.

Starting your teaching career does not have to mean immediately committing to a full-time permanent classroom. Flexible supply teaching lets you build classroom confidence, gain experience across EYFS to KS2, and work the days you choose.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have completed or are completing their PGCE or BA Education
• Experience teaching within UK primary schools through training or employment
• Confident working with children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Professional and reliable approach
• Understand safeguarding
• Live in or can travel to primary schools across Brighton and the surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Delivering lessons using planning provided by the school
• Managing the classroom and creating a positive learning environment
• Supporting pupils with their learning
• Following the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Marking the day's work where required
• Leaving clear handover notes for the class teacher
