Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a flexible Bank/Nursery Practitioner for our Bury St Edmunds nursery. You will support EYFS delivery, engage children in educational activities, and contribute to a warm, safe learning environment.

You will hold a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification with experience, a passion for learning through play, and a collaborative approach with staff and families. DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities.
• Help children progress toward key milestones in development.
• Work as part of a team to complete day-to-day tasks such as room tidying and preparation.
