Job summary

Bright Horizons Sale Nursery is looking for a Nursery Practitioner on a flexible bank/agency basis. You will support delivery of the EYFS, engage children in developmental activities, and work as part of a team to ensure daily nursery tasks are completed.

The role requires a Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification and experience with children. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the pre-employment process, and the nursery is Ofsted rated Outstanding.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience working with children in nursery or early years setting.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to communicate with children and adults effectively.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EYFS activities and support development toward milestones.
• Engage children with educational and entertaining activities.
• Assist with daily tasks such as room tidying and preparation.
• Collaborate with a larger team to ensure smooth nursery operations.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds! Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
