Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Daily Supply SEN Teacher to work across specialist SEND settings in Romford and Waltham Forest. This role offers flexibility to choose your own working days and gain experience across a variety of rewarding SEND environments.

Role involves delivering engaging lessons, adapting to pupil EHCP goals, and collaborating with support staff. Competitive daily rate (£140-£170) and immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH or complex SEND.
• Experience in a specialist SEND setting or mainstream with SEND experience.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• DBS enhanced disclosure.
• Experience with Makaton, PECS, AAC or sensory-based learning approaches.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Teach pupils with SEND including ASD, SLD, PMLD and complex communication needs.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP outcomes and individual learning goals.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other specialist professionals.
• Support pupils' communication, sensory and emotional development.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress where required.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
• Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.
