Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in Newcastle (NE5) to supervise lessons across KS3/KS4 and manage pupil behaviour. The role is day-to-day with long-term placement potential, on-site and PAYE, offering flexible hours and progression through CPD.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant qualification or degree, experience with 11-16 year olds, and excellent communication and organisational skills. Competitive daily pay rates apply.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable.
• Experience working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A confident and adaptable approach to supervising different subjects.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support pupils' learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across KS3 and KS4 across a variety of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain pupil engagement.
• Support pupils' learning and development in a secondary school setting.
