Job summary

Principal Education is seeking Unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors to work on flexible daily supply across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. Roles available in High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Amersham, Chesham, Marlow, Gerrards Cross and nearby locations.

As a Cover Supervisor you’ll take responsibility for a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons and supporting pupils with learning, engagement and behaviour.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Flexibility, adaptability and confidence to think on your feet.
• A calm and professional approach under pressure.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.
• Overseas police clearance if you have lived abroad for 6+ months within the last 5 years.
• Based in Buckinghamshire or within a commutable distance.

Responsibilities

• As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
• You won’t be expected to plan or teach lessons, but you’ll play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, engagement and behaviour.
