Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a domestic cleaner for Goodwood Ambulance Station. You will keep the site clean to a set schedule, support the cleaning services team to raise standards, and assist in ensuring cleanliness across trust sites.

The role is 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours daily, Monday–Friday) with potential cover at other stations. It is physically demanding and requires the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Understanding of health and safety, COSHH and risk assessments as they relate to cleaning.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures.
• Able to comply with standard operating procedures and organisational policies.

Responsibilities

• Keep Goodwood Ambulance Station clean to a set schedule.
• Support the cleaning services team in improving cleanliness standards.
• Support assurance of cleanliness across the trust's sites.
• Cover other stations and fixed sites when required, within hours or on overtime.
• Carry out physically demanding tasks, including reaching, crouching and moving items between rooms.
