Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting Support Workers to join a specialist residential care home in Chorley, providing person-centred support to adults under 65 with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental health needs, and dementia.

The role offers flexible shift patterns with Full-Time, Part-Time and Bank contracts, and a competitive rate of pay. Training and ongoing development are provided to support career progression within a specialist care setting.

Qualifications

• Care experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to work shifts including weekends.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing
• Support residents with activities and community engagement
• Follow care plans and risk assessments
• Build positive relationships with residents and colleagues
