Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Chippenham is seeking a Bank Healthcare Support Worker to provide hands-on care, supporting patient comfort and independence. Shifts are self-booked, with options to request preferred days off up to six weeks ahead.

The role welcomes both new and experienced carers. A Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it is required. Training will cover moving and handling and delegated tasks when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate, or willingness to achieve it within an agreed timeframe
• Good general education

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on care that improves patient comfort, wellbeing and recovery
• Support patients to maintain their independence and dignity
• Manage infection control practices to keep the care environment safe and clean
• Work across clinical settings, including dressing and fracture clinics
• Build relationships with patients and their families during key moments of care
• Work within a multidisciplinary team alongside experienced professionals
• Support colleagues within the team
• Carry out patient moving and handling and delegated nursing or therapy tasks after training
• Develop healthcare skills across different services and settings
