Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting a Health Care Support Worker to join the Longleat Ward Team in Warminster. You will provide essential care, assist with mobility, nutrition, hygiene and monitoring, and support patients and families with compassionate care.

The role offers opportunities for skill development, including patient observations, ECGs, and phlebotomy, with Care Certificate training on completion. Flexible working considerations discussed on application.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in health care or willingness to achieve.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Delivering patient-focused care with empathy and professionalism.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans to deliver treatment and support.
• Keep patients at the centre of care with patient and carer involvement.
• Provide daily care and support for delegated patients.
• Deliver care within a community setting under supervision.
• Aim to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions where possible.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs and ensure safe care.
• Support administration of medications under supervision.
• Maintain infection control to reduce infection risk.
• Help patients regain independence and promote rehabilitation.
• Undertake tasks as delegated and support junior staff.
