Job summary

Savernake Hospital is seeking a Bank Health Care Support Worker to join our flexible team. You will deliver hands-on care, support patients’ independence and dignity, and work across diverse clinical settings to improve comfort and recovery.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
• Experience of working under supervision and supporting colleagues within a team environment.
• Experience of delivering patient-centred care.
• Good typing, data entry, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to safely undertake patient moving and handling and delegated nursing/therapy tasks following training.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on care that improves patient comfort, wellbeing, and recovery.
• Support patients to maintain their independence and dignity.
• Become a valued member of a supportive healthcare team.
• Build relationships with patients and their families during important moments in care.
• Gain experience across a variety of clinical settings, including dressing and fracture clinics.
• Help ensure a safe and clean care environment through infection control practices.
• Develop healthcare skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
• Play an important role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.
