Job summary

Handsale Ltd is seeking Domestic staff for a part-time role of 30 hours per week with shifts from 10:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 19:00, across five days. You will work in care home settings, performing cleaning, laundry and general duties under the Home Manager, with a focus on safety and hygiene.

The position offers competitive pay (£12.75/hr) and benefits including pension and health coverage after service. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance within a reputable care provider.

Qualifications

• Team player
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
• Care for the Elderly experience
• Excellent training and support
• Established, reputable employer indoing business

Responsibilities

• Empty waste bins and wipe out
• Vacuum throughout
• Shake out cushions
• Clean taps and sinks
• Polish all mirrors
• Dust handrails and radiators
• Move all mobile furniture (beds/chairs) and dust beneath
• Dust furniture and windowsills
• Shampoo carpets as requested by Home Manager
• Dust light bulbs and fittings
• Dust curtain rails
• En-suites - vacuum / clear out, restock toiletries
• Participate in staff and client meetings
• Attend mandatory training days/courses
• Maintain Health and Safety policy and disposal of waste policy
• Report illness or accidents to Home Manager promptly
• Ensure equipment is clean and well maintained
• Promote safe working practices and protect confidentiality
