Job summary

Newcross Healthcare in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide essential home care and community support. You will work flexible shifts, delivering high-quality care with compassion, dignity, and respect.

You must have right to work in the UK and at least 6 months UK care experience; registration in Scotland/Wales/N.I. is required where applicable. Training is provided and you’ll join a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• At least 6 months paid UK care experience in the last 3 years, including personal care and moving and handling.
• Registration for Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland such as SSSC, SCW or NISSC. This is not required in England.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care and support to clients in their homes and communities.
• Support those in your care with both moving and handling and personal care when requirement.
• Help maintain comfort, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver care that meets each person’s needs.
