Practice Plus Group is seeking a Bank Theatre Practitioner / Surgical First Assistant to join a high-performing theatre team in the UK. The role supports Consultants and multidisciplinary colleagues across the perioperative pathway, providing advanced clinical support and ensuring safe, efficient surgical care.

This bank (0-hour) contract offers flexible shifts, allowing you to accept or decline based on availability, while contributing to governance, patient safety and service improvement

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse or ODP with AfPP SFA qualification.
• 2+ years operating theatre experience.
• Experience leading clinical teams is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Operate as advanced practitioner in the operating department.
• Assist Consultants as Surgical First Assistant during procedures.
• Position, prep and expose patients as needed.
• Support haemostasis, tissue retraction, suction and camera work.
• Prepare and maintain theatre equipment and consumables.
• Supervise junior colleagues and students.
• Contribute to governance, audits and KPI monitoring.
• Support theatre utilisation and patient flow.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Engage in education and professional development.
