Job summary

Circle Health Group Limited is seeking a Theatre Practitioner - SFA for bank shifts at St Edmunds Hospital. The role involves assisting surgeons, managing patient positioning, draping, and maintaining the sterile environment with a focus on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with post-registration Surgical First Assistant qualification.
• Perioperative experience with aseptic technique.
• Good understanding of surgical anatomy and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled assistance to the surgeon during operations, including tissue handling and wound management.
• Assist with patient positioning and ensuring safety standards.
• Assist with sterile draping and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.
• Support patients and families pre- and post-operatively with empathy and information.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching, or quality improvement initiatives.
