Job summary

North Devon Hospice in Barnstaple is seeking Bank Specialty Doctors to provide specialist palliative care across the North Devon region. You will cover our 7-bed inpatient unit and support community teams in a flexible, on-demand capacity.

Ideal candidates have a background in General Practice, general medicine or related specialties and seek to balance clinical work with existing commitments. A mindful, inclusive team environment and induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Ideal for experienced doctors with a background in General Practice, general medicine or another relevant specialty.
• Flexible working alongside existing commitments is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical cover for the 7-bed inpatient unit and support community teams.
• Contribute to the 24/7 first-on-call service and on-call nights and weekends.
• Engage in a multidisciplinary team to deliver palliative care.
• Participate in induction and shadowing opportunities.
