Job summary

Vale of Evesham School is seeking a flexible bank staff member to support pupils with additional needs across our small classes. You may work one day a week or more, with hours roughly 9.00am–3.00pm.

The role focuses on building rapport, encouraging participation, and assisting with daily routines to help pupils stay safe and engaged. Experience in schools or related settings is valued, along with a passion for SEN and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Energy and enthusiasm to work in a busy school environment.
• Availability one day a week or more, with a typical window of 9:00–15:00.
• Experience in a school, residential, or similar setting supporting young people or adults.
• Understands varied needs of children as they develop socially and academically.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their daily routines and class activities.
• Assist with meal times and outdoor play as needed.
• Build rapport with pupils and provide positive reinforcement to boost confidence.
• Support teaching and wider team when additional staffing is required.
