Job summary

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is seeking a flexible Bank Porter (Maintenance) to support logistics and operations across departments. This ad hoc bank role offers rotational early and late shifts, with weekend work as required, and requires a full UK driving licence.

You will handle waste disposal, room setup, grounds maintenance, courier duties, and stock support, while complying with health and safety policies. DBS checks apply and the hospital environment is active and fast-paced.

Qualifications

• Flexible attitude and proactive approach to work.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to manage workload and take ownership of tasks.
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks (Disclosure Scotland).
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Collection and disposal of waste, laundry, and clinical waste per hospital procedures.
• Setting up conference rooms and supporting office moves.
• Maintaining hospital grounds and outdoor areas.
• Cleaning and preparing designated areas.
• Providing courier services and transporting specimens when required.
• Carrying out parking patrols as directed.
• Delivering and collecting medical devices across the Central Belt of Scotland.
• Supporting the Housekeeping team with operational tasks.
• Assisting with stock management.
• Adhering to data protection, health & safety, and security policies.
