Job summary

Anchor is seeking a Bank Chef for West Hall, West Byfleet, to work on a casual 0-hour basis in a care home catering setting. You will cook fresh meals and bake daily, with support from a Catering Assistant and occasional overlaps with other kitchen staff.

Training and onboarding will ensure you understand residents’ needs and our ways of working. You’ll join a not-for-profit care provider that values quality, warm meals, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Professional cookery experience, care home or healthcare catering is a bonus.
• Ability to cook from fresh and bake independently.
• Hold or working towards Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Hold the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Cooking from fresh daily using quality seasonal ingredients to deliver nutritious meals.
• Baking from scratch including breads, cakes and desserts.
• Support the Chef Manager in maintaining high food quality and presentation.
• Step in to cover shifts and keep the kitchen running smoothly when needed.
