Job summary

Tesco in Bradley Stoke is hiring a Skilled Baker to join our store teams. You will bake in waves for scratch products, serve customers with pride, and help keep products fresh and well-presented throughout the day.

This role offers a minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week (with options down to 12 hours) and a shift pattern that includes early morning hours. We support flexibility and value reliability, teamwork, and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Knowing customers and serving them with passion and pride; great natural service.
• Bake in waves for scratch products so customers receive fresh products and waste is minimised.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure best condition for customers.
• Adhere to all food hygiene, safety and allergen guidelines at all times.
• Be knowledgeable about products and services within the department and store.
• Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
• Proactively check emergency stop buttons and machinery safety; report next steps to Shift Leader/Team Manager.
• Dispose of waste responsibly, follow food waste and recycling routines.
• Understand store performance and contribute to profit by reducing waste and shrink.
• Be yourself, live our values, and follow policies.
• Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
