Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring for a Skilled Baker role in our stores. You’ll provide friendly, natural service, assist customers, and help maintain a welcoming bakery experience. The role supports bakery and wider store operations, ensuring high-quality products and great service throughout each shift.

Minimum 16 hours per week are guaranteed, with some locations offering more. You must be over 18, able to work flexibly, and work well in a team to create a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 for this role.
• Minimum 16 hours per week is guaranteed, with roles from 12 hours also available.
• Shifts scheduled within availability windows with at least 3 weeks’ notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, natural service and engage with customers around freshly baked products.
• Support Bakery and wider store operations, bake products to high standards, maintain availability, assist with queries, and deliver professional service.
• Make customer-focused decisions and complete bakery routines, from baking to stock checks, throughout the day.
• Understand how the role supports service, sales, waste reduction and overall store performance by producing quality products and keeping the bakery running smoothly.
