Job summary

Autism Initiatives is seeking an Additional Support Worker to help people live as independently as possible across Supported Living, Resource Centres and Outreach settings.

You will work flexibly in day, night and weekend shifts, with full initial training and ongoing development. The role includes DBS checks funded by the employer and opportunities for career progression within social care.

Qualifications

• A good verbal and written communicator.
• Patient, caring and supportive.
• A passion to develop and learn new skills.
• Ability to work to your own initiative and be a team player.
• Able to work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Our Additional Support Workers help people live as independently as possible in settings such as Supported Living, Resource Centres and Outreach.
• Assist with daily activities and community participation (walks, park visits, swimming, cinema).
• Support individuals in voluntary work and daily routines as part of person-centred plans.
