Job summary

SCR is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for flexible agency shifts across a range of residential care settings in the UK. You will provide day-to-day care, build trusting relationships, and support young people with diverse needs, including autism and complex behaviours.

We value calm, resilience and reliability, with the ability to adapt to different homes and shift patterns. A driving licence and commitment to safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or over
• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a residential setting
• A clean UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work long days, weekends and sleep-in shifts when required
• Genuine commitment to working with vulnerable children and young people

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support to vulnerable children and young people
• Build positive and trusting relationships
• Support daily routines and individual needs
• Engage children in activities, hobbies and interests
• Support emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Manage and respond appropriately to challenging behaviours
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
• Maintain professional boundaries and provide consistent support
