Alpha Academies Trust is seeking a part-time Trust Payroll Officer to join our Central Team. The role covers 20 hours per week, with flexible distribution across 3 or 4 days. The salary aligns with Level 6 and supports accurate payroll for 500+ staff, while ensuring HMRC compliance and pension arrangements.

The successful candidate will bring payroll experience, meticulous data handling, and strong communication skills to support staff and managers within a collaborative, values-driven Trust.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing experience
• Understanding of HMRC payroll requirements
• Knowledge of pension schemes and employee pay arrangements
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate payroll services to over 500 staff across the Trust.
• Ensure HMRC payroll compliance and pension processing.
• Maintain data accuracy and confidentiality in payroll records.
• Provide responsive payroll support to staff and managers.
• Collaborate with the Trust Central Team to resolve issues.
