Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Subject Specialist Tutors to support learners in Basingstoke and surrounding areas with personalised 1:1 tuition. You’ll work on behalf of Local Authorities to assist students needing alternative educational provision and tailored learning plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience teaching or supporting at least one curriculum subject
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Basingstoke and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people
• Support learners who require alternative educational provision with a tailored approach to learning
• Deliver engaging, personalised tutoring sessions and plan sessions around individual needs
