Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bristol is recruiting a Fleet Workshop Assistant for a permanent role. You will work a 39.5-hour week with a rotating shift pattern, including occasional Saturdays, in a busy workshop environment.

The role involves tyre maintenance, basic repairs, and vehicle movement between locations, with opportunities to gain accreditation and training. A full UK driving license with 7.5 ton entitlement is required; HGV/trailer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual working using hands and tools.
• Full UK manual driving licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement.
• HGV licence and trailer towing experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform tyre maintenance and related tasks (re-grooving, fitting, inflation, balancing).
• Carry out basic repairs such as bulbs, mirrors, doors and wiper blades.
• Transport vehicles to and from customer locations.
• Handle general maintenance tasks including fluid top ups and cleaning.
• Assist with minor body repairs and MOT presentations.
• Load/unload via a Forklift Truck (FLT), licence preferred but not essential.
