Job summary

Petit-Forestier-Group, based in Bristol, is seeking a proactive Fleet Maintenance Planner to coordinate planned maintenance, inspections and repairs for a mixed fleet. You will allocate work to Workshop and Mobile Technicians, monitor loading and labour use, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

You will also manage preventative maintenance, coordinate breakdowns and roadside assistance, and ensure all activities comply with standards.

Qualifications

Experience within a fleet maintenance, workshop or transport environment.
Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance processes.
Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of fleet compliance requirements.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule planned maintenance, inspections, servicing and repairs.
Allocate work to Workshop and Mobile Technicians to maximise efficiency.
Monitor workshop loading and labour utilisation.
Prioritise maintenance activities to meet operational requirements.
Coordinate preventative maintenance programmes for fleet vehicles and refrigeration assets.
Monitor defects and ensure timely rectification.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with standards and manufacturer recommendations.
Coordinate breakdowns, incidents and roadside assistance when required.
Keep accurate workshop records and manage documentation.
Source and procure parts in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Provide administration support and manage fleet availability planning.
