Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Fleet Vehicle Technician for a busy Farnham fleet and rental operation. You will maintain a large number of commercial vehicles, ensuring uptime and reliability while prioritising cost-efficient repairs.

The role offers a practical environment with focus on availability and cost control. You can work either in the workshop or mobile, with a Monday–Friday 8am–6pm schedule and no weekend shifts, and the potential for increased earnings on mobile

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing large commercial vehicle fleets.
• Full UK driving licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement.
• Experience with rental companies (Northgate or similar) is highly desirable.
• MOT Tester licence is advantageous but not essential.
• A positive work ethic and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a large fleet of commercial vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
• Conduct servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Approach repairs with cost-consciousness, prioritising partial replacements and reusing parts when appropriate.
• Support the rental fleet either in the workshop or mobile as required.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing (MOT licence advantageous but not essential).
• Support fleet management by providing practical, cost-effective repairs that minimise downtime.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Fleet Vehicle Technician, a vital role within a busy fleet and rental operation based in Farnham. The Fleet Vehicle Technician will be responsible for maintaining a large fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency. ThisFleet Vehicle Technician role offers a practical and supportive working environment, with a focus on cost-effective repairs and vehicle reliability.
