Job summary

London Hire Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Valeter (Zero Hours) to prepare vehicles for London hire, inspect new vehicles on arrival and perform daily maintenance. You will ensure cleanliness, correct tyre pressures, and document any pre- or post-rental damage.

You will manage the vehicle yard, check equipment, liaise with contractors, and support safe operation on site. A full UK driving licence and attention to detail are essential; a positive, team-oriented attitude is valued.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles for delivery to customers, ensuring documentation is available and the vehicle is clean and defect-free.
• Inspecting and checking in new vehicles to the site against the New Vehicle Acceptance Sheet.
• Inspecting and processing vehicles returned from hire.
• Maintaining daily diaries and recording vehicle movements and paperwork.
• Carrying out minor repairs and visual checks (fluids, tyres).
• Cleaning vehicles prior to delivery and liaising with contractors.
