Job summary

London Hire Ltd is seeking casual Vehicle Delivery Drivers (Zero-Hours) based in Erith. You will deliver and collect vehicles nationwide, assist in preparation and cleaning, inspect vehicles for damage, and log all movements at the Rental Office under the Rental Supervisor.

Role requires a minimum of one year driving experience and a valid D1 licence. You’ll wear the provided uniform, work punctually, and follow health and safety rules at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s driving experience.
• Must hold a valid category D1 driving licence.
• Become a real team player by maintaining good working relationships with all members of staff and our clients.
• Ensure that any company uniform provided is worn at all times, including high visibility jackets/ vests and ID badges.
• Ensure that duties start punctually by reporting for duty at the specified times and ensure all services run to agreed times.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cleaning of vehicles prior to delivery.
• Carry out vehicle inspections prior to delivery for damage and/or missing items, record findings on the Vehicle Inspection Sheet.
• Deliver vehicles to customers, garages and other locations in a timely manner as required by the business.
• Carry out vehicle collections, ensuring inspection is completed and customer signature obtained to confirm collection.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and returned to the Rental Office.
• Enter vehicle movement information into the Rental diary.
• Adhere to driver hour regulations and tachograph requirements at all times.
