Job summary

WGM Engineering Ltd, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Transport Supervisor in Glasgow to lead the Stores & Transport team. You will coordinate fleet movement, ensure legal compliance, and support driver activity across UK projects.

You will line-manage two staff, drive cost-effective, safe transport operations and maintain accurate fleet records, contributing to WGM's delivery of critical water-sector projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet, transport or logistics coordination within a multi-vehicle operation.
• Valid UK manual driving licence.
• Experience leading or line managing staff with performance management.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance, MOT, vehicle insurance, defect management and compliance records.
• Knowledge of operator licensing requirements.
• Experience using fleet management, vehicle tracking or telematics systems and data analysis.
• Experience with incident/damage administration and liaising with repairers or insurers.
• Strong route-planning and transport coordination capability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet requirements across WGM departments.
• Manage vehicle movements and allocations to optimise utilisation.
• Maintain fleet register including ownership, hire status and maintenance.
• Plan, schedule and monitor servicing, MOTs, repairs and checks.
• Monitor off-road events and minimise disruption through planning.
• Support drivers and line managers in meeting compliance monitoring.
• Record and investigate vehicle incidents and damage reports.
• Analyse fleet data and prepare reports to improve performance.
