Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd. are recruiting a Semi-Skilled / Skilled Fleet Technician to join a London-based council workshop. The role focuses on servicing and repairing Light Goods Vehicles and Heavy Goods Vehicles within a compliant workshop environment.

You will perform vehicle maintenance, document work accurately and adhere to Health & Safety, O Licence and DVSA standards. A hands-on technician with relevant licences or willingness to obtain them is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices
• Experience with LGVs and/or HGVs advantageous
• Able to follow risk assessments and COSHH procedures
• Good communication with workshop supervisors and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs to professional standards
• Work on Light Goods and Heavy Goods Vehicles and related equipment
• Ensure work complies with Health & Safety, O Licence and DVSA standards
• Apply technical methods and workshop standards during repairs
• Communicate with Workshop Supervisor/Manager throughout maintenance
• Complete workloads within agreed timescales and document work accurately
• Carry out vehicle checks and testing as required
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
• Support wider workshop team to maintain service levels
• Undertake internal/external training as required
