Job summary

EasyJet Plc is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer in Luton to improve aircraft availability by continuously monitoring fleet status and providing front-line technical recommendations on current and emerging concerns. You will support daily line activity and night stop maintenance on a continuous shift, helping to resolve AOG events and deferred defects while protecting airworthiness.

This role requires strong fault-finding and collaborative problem solving with maintenance and manufacturing

Qualifications

• UK/EASA B2 Licence required.
• A320 family authorisation or prior holder advantageous.
• Proven background in system fault-finding, including wiring checks and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting guidance and repair instructions for significant AOG and out-of-service events.
• Review maintenance records, technical logs and line feedback to identify repetitive defects and provide structured recommendations.
• Develop further work instructions in collaboration with Fleet Technical Management and aircraft manufacturers.
• Provide on-site support at line stations during AOG recovery where needed.

The opportunity

As a Fleet Support Engineer, you'll improve aircraft availability by continuously monitoring fleet status, identifying reliability and operational performance issues, and providing front-line technical recommendations on current and emerging aircraft concerns.

You'll support daily line activity and night stop maintenance on a continuous shift basis, helping to resolve AOG and out-of-service events, deferred defects and repetitive faults while protecting continued airworthiness.

The team & culture

You'll work closely with the Maintenance Operations Control & Planning teams, Engineers, Flight Operations and Fleet Technical Management. You'll also liaise with aircraft manufacturers, vendors and outside agencies when faults or damage need support beyond the aircraft manuals.

The team shares knowledge openly and works at pace to find safe, workable solutions. You'll build strong relationships across Technical Services and Flight Operations, using feedback from the network to help improve aircraft availability, processes and procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide troubleshooting guidance and repair instructions for significant AOG and out-of-service events, supporting Maintenance Control and the wider network through daily line activity and night stop maintenance.

You'll review maintenance records, technical logs and line station feedback to identify repetitive and recurrent defects, then provide structured technical recommendations on current and emerging fleet issues.

When standard troubleshooting guidance has been exhausted, you'll work with Fleet Technical Management and aircraft manufacturers to develop further work instructions. You may also provide on-site support at line stations during AOG recovery.

What We're Looking For

You'll hold a UK and/or EASA B2 Licence and hold, or have previously held, A320 family authorisation. You'll also have a proven background in system fault-finding, including wiring checks and repairs.

Safety will be central to how you work. You'll check information carefully, make robust technical recommendations and stay focused on aircraft compliance, airworthiness and practical operational outcomes.

You'll be able to adapt to the changing demands of a busy operation, communicate technical guidance clearly and build constructive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and aircraft manufacturers.
