Job summary

EMED Group is seeking a Fleet Supervisor for Leeds to lead a small team of Ambulance Fleet Assistants across multiple bases. You will schedule maintenance, coordinate deep cleans, and ensure equipment needs are met across the contract area.

You will travel regionally to service and repair equipment, interpret drawings, and uphold safety standards. A full UK driving licence and good organisational skills are essential for this responsible, frontline role.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blown view drawings.
  • Ability to identify improvements to processes and services.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including ability to meet tight deadlines and work on own initiative.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the company’s markets and industry.
  • Client-focused, pragmatic approach with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Flexible approach with strong teamwork skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing or leading a team.
  • Hold a full (manual) UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate work schedules to Ambulance Fleet Assistants based on scheduled maintenance, VOR, reported defects and deep-clean requirements.
  • Travel across the contract area to repair, service and maintain products/equipment as per manufacturer guidelines when required.
  • Carry out checks and replacements of electrical components within EMED guidelines.
  • Ensure tools and spare parts are safely stored and maintained.
  • Maintain adequate supply of basic spare parts within the region and report defects per the defect process.
  • Work safely and comply with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Inform Fleet management when a product cannot be repaired to a safe standard.
  • Arrange for equipment non-repair on site to be returned to the manufacturer or for the manufacturer to attend the base.
  • Report equipment involved in incidents to the Fleet management team.
  • Carry out service and repair in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Ensure vehicles for disposal are de-kitted before collection and maintain a log of equipment.

Overview

Fleet Supervisor position based in Leeds. This is a multi-site role covering various bases in the North and North East. You will work alongside a small team of Ambulance Fleet Assistants (AFA), ensuring full compliance of routine scheduled mechanical, ancillary equipment and vehicle deep cleans.
