Job summary

Avon Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a Fleet Stores operative to oversee day-to-day operations, including ordering, receipt and issuing of vehicle parts. You will maintain organised stores, ensure health and safety compliance, and support stock takes and supplier reviews.

Qualifications

• Stock control and stock movement experience.
• Good record-keeping and data accuracy.
• Experience engaging with suppliers and managing procurement.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Administration Manager with day-to-day Fleet Stores operations.
• Order, receipt, and issue of vehicle parts according to processes.
• Ensure Fleet Stores health and safety requirements are met.
• Maintain computerised records and data integrity.
• Digitalise Fleet stores processes as part of improvement initiatives.
• Support stock takes and supplier reviews for cost efficiency.
• Ensure COSHH-compliant safety data sheets are available with parts.
