You will be an experienced and authentic leader with established experience in the railway industry, who has dealt with customers, suppliers, and staff at all organizational levels.

About us

Our mission is to provide high-quality, digitally-enabled rolling stock solutions that help deliver a safe, efficient, and sustainable railway.

Since 1996, our investments have totaled over £3bn, including the commissioning of over 2,500 new passenger and freight vehicles. We plan to invest over £1bn into UK rail in the coming years to deliver high-quality new and refurbished vehicles for passengers and freight customers.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver plans that support the strategic objectives of growing revenues through service development.
2. Build on existing foundations of asset digitalisation to improve the safety and utility of rolling stock assets, particularly regarding reliability and maintenance costs.
3. Develop executive-level relationships internally and externally.
4. Bring insight and strategic thinking to the development of services.

Skills and Experience

1. Extensive knowledge of railway industry rolling stock, organizations, and key players.
2. In-depth knowledge of contractual obligations and operating lease agreements.
3. Experienced and authentic leader to coach and develop the fleet services team.
4. A passion for developing future leaders and early careers.
5. Individual with gravitas to strengthen the senior leadership team.
6. An ‘eyes wide open’ approach to new ventures.
7. Confident and willing to roll up sleeves when required.
