Job summary

SE Trains Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a Fleet Engineer to drive reliability growth across Southeastern rolling stock from Slade Green Depot. You will lead engineering improvements, deliver cost-effective solutions, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to enhance safety, reliability and maintainability.

The role requires 4+ years in T&RS engineering, strong FMEA/RCM skills, and knowledge of railway standards.

Qualifications

Engineering background with 4+ years in T&RS engineering and a degree or HNC/HND.
Proficient in FMEA, RCM, RAMS or FRACAS for reliability growth.
Deep rolling stock knowledge of systems, diagnostics and maintenance.
Strong planning, prioritisation and leadership skills.
Proficient with MS Office and project tools.
Knowledge of Railway Group Standards, ROGS and safety compliance.
Able to obtain Personal Track Safety Certification.
Organised, proactive and able to work with teams.

Responsibilities

Lead technical expertise across rolling stock to address performance, reliability, safety.
Communicate reliability issues to depots and stakeholders.
Drive reliability growth using RCM, FMECA, RAMS, or MSG3.
Plan and deliver projects with defined resources and timescales.
Investigate issues, produce root-cause reports, liaise with RoSCos, OEMs and suppliers.
Develop engineering specifications and change documents; support modification processes.
