This is an airline where your original personality and skills will really shine through.
Salary: £74,106 per annum plus a non contractual discretionary incentive award.
Due to an internal move we have an opportunity join our Maintenance Control Team as a Fleet Performance Engineer. This role manages and develops BA Cityflyer’s preventative maintenance programme and leads the airlines predicative maintenance philosophy for our fleet of Embraer E190 aircraft. With a focus on the highest levels of aircraft reliability this role helps ensure we carry our passengers safely, and on time, to their desired destination.
Using multiple data sources, you’ll identify the maintenance tasks, outside or scheduled maintenance programme, required to keep our fleet flying without interrupting our scheduled operations. These requirements will be communicated to our line and base engineering teams using Engineering Technical Requirements, work instructions, in a timely manner to address repetitive, latent, and active aircraft defects.
This role ensures continued focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability from an Operational and reliability perspective to meet the company’s targets. You should be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of this roll by developing, maintaining, and presenting operational and performance reports.
In addition to the predictive analytical element of this role you’ll act as a technical expect on our fleet, being able to support the Maintrol Team with ad-hoc shift cover and guidance on troubleshooting complex issues and repetitive defects.
You’ll collaborate with our Safety Service and Air Ops teams on the review of Flight Data conditional events, interpreting the flight data recorders, for required Engineering follow-up requirements.
We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.
From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.
At British Airways you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.
We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.
At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.
Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
