Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 3-month contract role with a local authority to provide technical leadership in fleet management and transport services. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operation, maintenance, compliance, and efficient use of fleet assets and workshop facilities.

You will support daily transport operations, ensuring adherence to regulations and organizational policies while applying industry best practices.

Competenze

Experience in managing fleet, transport or vehicle maintenance operations.
Background in transport, logistics, local authority or infrastructure environments.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance planning, fleet compliance, and transport legislation.
Experience in monitoring operational performance and producing management information reports.
Experience in inspections, audits, or compliance assessments.

Lead and support the delivery of fleet management services and workshop operations.
Assist in managing fleet maintenance, procurement, and operational activities daily.
Monitor and manage vehicle and plant maintenance programs to ensure reliability and compliance.
Offer technical advice on fleet operations, vehicle specifications, procurement, and transport legislation.
Oversee fuel management, compliance monitoring, and fleet performance reporting.
Manage operational information and performance data related to vehicle use, maintenance, and transport activities.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure legal and organizational adherence.
