Job summary

Alltruck plc, based at the head office in Leicester, is seeking an experienced HGV Fleet Engineer to protect customer promise and commercial performance by ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of the HGV fleet.

You will negotiate with external maintenance providers, assess repair quality, drive data-led decisions, and collaborate with Account Management, Fleet, and senior colleagues to maintain high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong HGV engineering knowledge and hands-on technical background.
• Ability to assess repair quality and prevent recurring faults.
• Commercial awareness with ability to negotiate with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Establish, negotiate, and manage service levels with external maintenance providers.
• Assess repair quality and investigate recurring faults to prevent failures.
• Negotiate pricing, warranties, and goodwill contributions while protecting commercial position.
• Act as engineering voice for suppliers, customers, and internal teams during complex situations.
• Utilise data and fleet systems to improve reporting and maintenance decisions.
