Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a part-time Fleet Ancillary Premise Cleaner for Harrogate. The role, 16 hours weekly across Monday-Friday, includes cleaning, decontamination and stock control at Harrogate Ambulance Station.

A basic PCA is required and NVQ 2 Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent training is encouraged. Applicants should have recent premise cleaning experience, a valid UK B class driving licence, and be able to work flexibly across shifts in a 24/7 service

Responsibilities

• Undertake station/site cleaning, decontamination and related tasks to meet hygiene standards.
• Follow Cleaning Protocols, procedures and daily work schedules.
• Maintain cleaning stocks and record daily activities; handle spillages and ad-hoc cleaning.
• Input information via basic IT for emails and timesheets.
• Support essential cleaning duties across multiple areas of the site.

Job overview

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Ancillary Services Team, are offering an opportunity for a shift 16 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Harrogate Ambulance Station.

Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service.

Allocated Bank Holiday working maybe required.

A very basic Physical Capability Assessment (PCA) is mandatory to this role, prior to any unconditional offer of employment.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include Station/Site Cleaning:

To undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet the high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention and

Control measures required across our stations and sites.

To ensure that all activities are performed in line with the Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules.

Achieving and maintaining all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Our cleaning schedules include entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurant’s, gym's, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other associated areas.

To ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials are maintained and to record all daily activities. This will include urgent spillage and ad-hock cleaning and deep cleaning as requested or where identified.

Use of basic IT; access and inputting of information is essential. For example: Emails and time sheets. (full support given)

A flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work, and any potential alternative location support cover within your shift is required.

Due to the required site support needs and the nature of the Emergency Services health care provision, short notice changes can occur within task and duties.

Experience

• Current ‘B’ Class driving Licence which is valid in the UK.
