  • Ensure all 3.5 Tonne Vans do not exceed 3.5 tonnes using the weighbridge.
  • VOR (vehicle off-road) management for damaged or defective vehicles.
  • Check all associated vehicle equipment, including material handling equipment, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosures.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules, ensuring clear traffic flow and effective parking.
  • Ensure drivers have the correct DPD uniform and that vans are kept clean and up to company standards.
Key Weekly Checks
  • Populate 21-day notices for damaged owner-driver vehicles via the app.
  • Record notices in a shared Google Calendar with the Transport Team.
  • Review outstanding notices with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager.
  • Conduct weekly fleet checks and download information, accounting for discrepancies.
  • Check fleet stock (lamps, bulbs, etc.) and reorder as needed.
  • Ensure the gritter is operational and clean during winter; report defects to the Regional Transport Engineer.
