Job summary

dsm‑firmenich is seeking a Samples Assistant to join a small team. You will weigh, prepare, label and pack flavouring samples to meet customer orders, maintaining accuracy and following health and safety procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, efficiency and adherence to procedures while supporting shipping and production tasks. Opportunities for growth and involvement across teams are highlighted throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level qualifications - GCSE or A Level.
• Lab experience beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to follow food hygiene and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and prepare food flavouring samples per procedures.
• Ensure customer orders are completed within required timescales and priorities.
• Ensure sample labels and documentation accurately reflect product, batch/lot and traceability.
• Handle food flavourings and packaging materials safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain stock levels of sample pots, boxes and other consumables for preparation and dispatch.
• Carry out regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and identify stock discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organized working area per hygiene, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all company procedures and report any quality, stock or operational issues to the appropriate person.
• Assist the wider team with shipping, production and other operational activities as required.
