Job summary

The Flavour Laboratory Technician role sits in an R&D environment within a North Somerset food manufacturing business. You will work hands-on in the flavour lab, supporting development and sample preparation for UK and European markets.

The ideal candidate will bring practical lab or food manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and solid MS Word/Excel skills. A flexible, proactive attitude and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory, kitchen, or food-manufacturing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

I’m currently recruiting for a Flavour Laboratory Technician to join a growing food manufacturing business in North Somerset.

This is a hands‑on opportunity within an R&D laboratory, supporting the preparation and development of flavour samples for customers across the UK and European food markets.

The role includes:

• Preparing and compounding flavour samples
• Managing raw materials and laboratory consumables
• Preparing labels and documentation for sample despatch
• Working to GMP, quality and safety standards
• Supporting the wider R&D team in a fast‑paced environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Laboratory, kitchen, food manufacturing or similar practical experience
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• A flexible, proactive approach
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
