Job summary

Synergy Flavours Ltd in the UK is seeking a Flavour Technician to support the Flavour Creation team in a hands‑on laboratory role. You will prepare and compound flavour formulations from liquids, powders and spray‑dried ingredients, while ensuring accurate sample preparation and strict lab standards.

You will learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to customer projects. You’ll maintain records, manage raw materials, and collaborate with Production and Sample Bay to keep processes

Qualifications

• Scientific background in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related discipline.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in formulation work.
• Methodical approach with emphasis on quality and consistency.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure and combine ingredients to prepare flavour formulations following provided formulas.
• Prepare flavour samples using liquids, powders and spray‑dried flavours.
• Support the Flavour Creation team with new developments, reformulations and customer projects.
• Maintain accurate formulation records, sample prep details and lab data in internal systems.
• Monitor and maintain raw material stocks, ensuring correct labelling and storage.
• Collaborate with Flavour Creation, Production and Sample Bay to keep lab activities smooth.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised lab environment and ensure equipment is well‑maintained.
• Support sensory and technical evaluations, including sample prep for panels and presentations.
• Develop technical knowledge through hands‑on training and collaboration.
